In the beauty of your love shadow
I send off gifts of birds
Both black and white
They coast and drift
Like fireflies
Whirring to and fro
Figures flaming bright
Flashing neon heartbeats
Blinking messages in flight
The blanket of your eclipse
Covers us with black moonlight
Comforting our unknown darkness
In the forest of our hearts
Before the dawn begins to rise
Parting back the trees
I find the autumn in your eyes
Standing in the midst
Deep in the fog of nature’s kiss
I offer up this sacred chair
A grassy seat of tenderness
A place to call your home
A place to rest your wings at night
Underneath the heavens
In the arms of starry light
